Finally, writing my last blog post about our July 2020 vacation to Big Cedar Lodge. One of the most relaxing trips we have taken in the last several years. We spent most of our time exploring the resort but ventured off-site to visit Dogwood Canyon Nature Park halfway through our trip.
After an easy and scenic 25-minute drive, we arrived. Our pre-purchased tickets included parking. Once parked, we stopped to take several pictures on our way to the entrance.
At the entrance are two gorgeous buildings that house a restaurant, shop, and restrooms. Also, this is the location to schedule and check-in for activities like bike rentals, tram rides, fishing, horseback riding, and guided tours. B and I decided to stroll through the park on our own.
Here are some pictures of our time at the picturesque park:
I would recommend renting bikes as you would be able to see more of the park than we did on foot (it's a large area to cover). Restrooms are not very easy to find, so make sure to plan accordingly. Purchase tickets online before arrival. Pack a day bag with water, sunscreen, and other items you may need.
Dogwood Canyon Nature Park is a fun day trip, and I'm happy we took the time to visit!
